    Why are you joining this site?:
    I am a fan of BN and their merged roads.
    I've been in love with trains since I was 10 years old. I'm a railfan and modeler who mostly modeled the Spokane, Portland & Seattle during the later broad-stripe years and the early Burlington Northern "rainbow" years until I recently started planning a "what if..." railroad based on the premise that the BN decided to abandon the SP&S mainline and branches south of Vancouver, WA in April of 1970. I'm calling my railroad the Willamette, Cascade, and Pacific Railroad, and the diesel fleet will consist of used equipment which will mostly be retired equipment from BN, SP and UP (and merged railroads), though the occasional retired engine from other roads - most notable the SOU, RI and MILW - will also be represented.
