I'd be interested in knowing more of the history of this car. I assume that the TSU had acquired it, but why and how did they use it? Is the interior essentially original? Are the plates over the windows something that is removeable and just used for protection against vandals? -- Gordon
Gordon, go to http://www.townwestsertomaclub.org/ scroll down about 80% of the way down to MURRAY HILL PAGE link and also, if you'd like the full story please email me at schwarzr@valornet.com The wood blanks in the window openings are because the MH was coupled to the Frisco1157 caboose, in Sand Springs OK when vandals set fire to the caboose and partially burned one end of the MH. The rest of the windows were mostly broken out and so to prevent rain and WX from doing her in, the wood product panes with air circulation slots. Looks like a war wagon, doesn't it? Are you located near Tulsa? Bob You can also see some more history if you'll google the Pullman project. Orig. built 1929 for New Haven RR
