@modeltruckshop Had they been ordered, I imagine Frisco would've used their Trainmasters in much the same way they used their SD45s. Trainmasters were powerful machines, high-horsepower diesels before the horsepower race of the 1960s became a thing. The Fairbanks Morse 38 8-1/8 is one of the most successful diesel engines of all time and it's a shame it never found widespread acceptance amongst North American railroads. The Soviets were so impressed by the performance of the FM diesel engines they received during the Second World War they reverse-engineered them and built a fleet of "knockoff" Trainmasters, the TE3.
