Nice photo. While the color Frisco used was "officially" referred to as Mandarin orange by management, it was really more of a fire engine red with a slight orange hue. GM refers to this color as "Chevy engine red," as it was used to paint big-block Chevrolet V8s from around 1965 onwards.
