The car pictured ooks well used. Well after when the car was designed by ACF in early 1960's. My junior year at Washington University [1964] I had a summer job at ACF St. Charles, MO. Evolved, I had to jack-up a center flow car and then measure the springs' constant. That was to have some idea about the car's natural frequency [vibrations] and if it could be prone to derailing. That summer, I worked in their labs to have data on a wide variety of granular bulk materials that could be unloaded by pneumatic conveying. Also to create a design formula for sizing blower requirements for within pneumatic conveying systems. That was key to Monsanto wishing me to be in their new Central Engineering Department [1965]. That provided bread on my family's table up to 2001.
