Severna Park has a coal mine where scale coal is loaded into 55T hoppers from three tracks under an operating tipple. They are delivered to an operational rotary dumper where the coal goes into the hold of a coal lighter. Everything is quite prototypical until the next step where the coal is emptied from the bottom of the ship into a bucket and carried back to the mine. On the Knoxville HO club layout, it's done with simulated coal loads that are carried back to the mine during restaging. Simulating reality rarely works, even with Matlab.
