when go to site sometimes recently, i have been getting a dark grey screen saying like URL Typo or like
I hate to post a piece of good news that may not be constructive, but I have only experienced one day of service denial for this site. This was around the time the problem began. I feel for the rest of you and certainly hope for resolution. For what it is worth, my relevant technical features are AT&T broadband in the SW St. Louis suburban area on a Windows 10 PC with Firefox as the browser. Obviously, others' mileages vary...
Same here, but on Google Chrome! Fortunately, I have not any issues logging on with my PC, laptop, phone.
There’s what I get unless I turn off my wi fi and use my phone. Spectrum is my internet, Verizon my phone. Tom, interesting reading your thoughts on the forum. Of the three I participate in this is the easiest and by far most drama free. I think of this as my friends not just a group of modelers. Sadly the forums all are down in activity these days. Sad to me because I enjoy that type of interaction. For years I was part of a monster truck forum that was made for owners, builders, drivers, promoters not so much fans. That was a quick one to get killed by Facebook. It’s totally gone now and the same guys are like lost sheep but just collecting likes and thumbs ups. The Rust Bucket forum was incredible in its days. Hands down the most realistic railroad modelers on earth. I enjoyed it because to an outsider it might have seemed ruthless but anyone serious there wanted critiques and criticism to improve models. Any ego too big for that did not last long. Anyone that stayed watched every model the built improve. But Facebook as essentially killed it. The few left are clinging on but it needs CPR at this point. Many of the old members have had life issues and moved on from modeling now. MRH is one I go to mainly for entertainment. I enjoy laughing at crotchety old men arguing over the craziest things and finding the hardest possible way to do anything. All while trying to not spend a nickel. Even there the numbers there are down. The number of actual participants is down. They also stopped paying for pictures, which is a big reason I’d always participated. Here I always enjoyed it. Drama free. No fighting and arguing and accurate information. Our numbers aren’t huge but the quality of content is to me. I’m from a family of Frisco employees, so this place means a lot to me. Hopefully there is enough interest and help to keep it going. Thanks to those that do.
My connection through Spectrum seems to be up and down. I can usually get on for some period during the day, usually offline in the AM.
I seem to have the problem most int he morning. I usually use Firefox; my service is provided by two different entities at two different locations. I don't know if this info is of any use. I sure don't want to see this great resource lost, but I have no expertise to offer.
Was able to login a couple times yesterday. Timed out a few times. Joe Lovett has not been able to login for a week or more.
Paul Moore and Joe Lovett still can't get logged in. Both fairly active members, both kinda giving up I fear.

This was never a Denial of Service situation or attack. The issue appeared when the forum was migrated to a GoDaddy server. Apparently from back in the Mike Corley days, the forum was actually on a sub-link. When migrated to to new server, the Domain Name System became corrupted. It took a while for the tech guys to get it sorted out but hopefully we’re back for good. Update 9:51 pm 3/21/22: I believe it is fixed; I have access on wireless with AT&T and with Google Fiber.
Great news!!!! Tom Holley texted me and said to try accessing the Frisco site, and it works!!! First time in ages. Completely agree with Steve's comments earlier. There never seems to be any drama here--just great exchange of information by people who appreciate the Frisco railroad and railroading in general.
