When the merger between the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe took place, would this be history repeating itself. I was doing some research on the FRISCO and read that back in the 1800 ( I think) the FRISCO merged with the SAnta Fe in order to keep them from going bankrupt. Many years later the FRISCO itself went bankrupt and closed its doors ( think I understood what I read right) anyway, some feller bought the railroad and also purchased the rights to obtain the St. Louis San Francisco Railroad name as well as the property. Anyway, the Santa Fe was bailed out so to speak and stayed the AT&SF until the merger with the BN. In 1980 the BN obtained the FRISCO and all of its assetts and liabilities. SO beins the FRISCO was now part of the BN, and the BN merged with the Santa FE. Wouldn't this be right?
