K-96 / US 400 Highways Overpass - Bridge 462.2 - Beaumont, KS, MP 458.5 - Wichita Subdivision Attached are pictures taken of the Frisco K-96 overpass, Bridge 462.2, while on a tour of the Wichita Subdivision with Bob Hoover (friscofriend). It is about 3 1/2 miles west of Beaumont, KS, MP 458.5, just west of SE Gray Rd, on the north side of US 400 Highway. When US 400 was built, an overpass was built over the railroad just to the south of the Art Deco bridge. The new bridge nearly goes over the Frisco overpass. It is a very nice Art Deco structure in very good shape other than pesky graffiti. Looking down the old Kansas 96 Highway (K-96) toward Beaumont, KS. The new right of way for US Highway 400 and its overpass over the railroad are on the rise to the right. The new highway is on built up fill to pass over the railroad. View looking east. West abutment on the north side of the highway.
