This is a great article with fantastic insights into operations for the final days of the Frisco. Two observations: 1. I am surprised at the high number of extras in the lineup, and I''m surprised by the volume of cars all these extras brought in. 2. I didn't realize how short on power the Frisco was at this time. Makes me wonder why they hadn't ordered more units, or turned to leasing extra power from eastern roads like others did during this time frame.
