I know this may be off topic and in the wrong forum but please pray for Sulligent, AL. Our most historic store front downtown -Front Street (facing the tracks and old depot foundation) - is on fire as I type. The buildings there were built when the KCM&B (later FRISCO) was built through here circa 1886-1887. Most of that block of front street (except it's ends) have survived fires over the past 30 years but this one may take out the entire store front facing the tracks. If your up at this hour, please pray for our first responders, the current merchants, and our comunity of 2100+. -Brandon

Sorry I didn't reply sooner. One building is a total loss. The town removed its smoldering debris with excavating equipment to the other side of the street on BNSF ROW (the old depot property). A boom truck with a water cannon saved the rest of the block. Buildings on either side were damaged and may also be demolished. I live about a quarter mile away. Smoke came in our house through the a/c about 10:30. We tbought our house had been hit by lightning. I drove around to check on neighbors until I saw the source. It could have been much worse.
