Story of a frisco train catching orders on the fly

  1. need a little help here. I recal a story in one of the kalmbach publications that was a first person account of catching orders on the fly. I can't remember if it was in Trains or Classic trains magazine. But the story was one of a student talking about how they were zipping along and come round a curve expecting the orders to be in the iron man stand. They were not. They were held up by the agent on duty.

If someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
