Steel Viaduct Trestle Number 3 - Clear Creek Tributary -Bridge 378.2 - Winslow, AR, MP 374.7 - Ft. Smith Subdivision

Image number 5 is Trestle No. 3, the smallest of the three Central Division viaduct trestles, south of Winslow, AR on the Central Division.

The original image came from a Frisco travel promotion booklet published about 1900.

The first trestle was built by the Delaware Bridge & Iron Company in 1885-1886 and was replaced by a new trestle around 1900.

Edit 1/31/2024: The new trestle was fabricated in 1908. It consists of two 40' deck plate girders (DPG,), one 50'-0" deck plate girder and four 80'-0" deck plate girders (DPG) spans. Total length of the viaduct is 450'-0".

Added bridge narrative, number, station mile post and subdivision.
