Please forgive my right-of-way dust if this has been posted before. I visit www.steamfreightcars.com on a regular basis which is great for prototype information for historicans and modelers alike. I found the link on the www.proto48.org site.

Currently there are two Frisco boxcars and a flat car in the gallery section. Additionally, there are quite a few other freight cars from the Great Southwest railroads, including shortline Sand Springs, on the site as well.

Perhaps members can consider adding their collection of photos to this site to increase the knowledge of the Frisco and help keep the legacy alive.

Joe, you've noted a great site. However, I think the level of activity has tailed off quite a bit over the past 5 years as it's "founder," Ted Culotta, has become more involved in his Speedwitch Media endeavor.

Vince Griesemer has shared some of his great photos. Anyone hear from Vince these days? He was kind enough to help me with some stock car info a while back; it's probably been more like 10 years back.

    Best Regards,

There are probably a lot of outdated sites on the web that don´t get an update due to health issues or putting too many irons in the fire thus pushing some projects to the "back burner".

There are lots of great Frisco pix on this site and others of course but if you visit a site that only has one Frisco shot it might be THE one that a member was looking for. Like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I enjoy looking for it although the pots I tend to find aren´t filled with gold...P U...
