Attached is the River & Cape Division Employee Timetable #28 dated May 24, 1914. Thanks to Pat Hiatte (friscoot) for sharing.
Neat to see that Chaffee was still clearly a hoppin' C&EI terminal for passenger and freight traffic some 9 years after the facilities and town sprang up. From what I've always read, Chaffee's reason for being was to serve as a both a Frisco and a C&EI division point when both were under Yoakum control.
And a location away from the ravages of the might Mississippi on the Shops area in Cape Girardeau over the years. If the river had not been a factor, Chaffee most likely would not have been established by the Frisco as the routes into and out of Cape were already established.
