I'm interested to see how (or "IF") the steam engines can be moved from the "Age Of Steam Museum" at Dallas to Frisco, TX. The Springfield city parks once wanted to move 4524 only about half a block to the entrance of Grant Beach Park and the idea was soon given up as a lost cause.

  3. :) Hey railfans in the Frisco,TX area will get a suprize soon. The Simithsonian is donateing their prized Santa Fe ALCo PA-1 to the Muesum of American Railroads in Frisco. The engine will be shipped on BNSF(Frisco) for free. So if your in the area and want to see a rare engine keep watch of the time. I haven't seen a date posted for the move, but I hope they route it somewhere near where I live. Figures one of the most famous ATSF engines ends up in a town named for the Frisco!!!:)
    Ship it on the Frisco!!!

Where is the PA located now? Washington D.C. I would really like to know the route and get a shot of it.

There is no museum by any such name in Frisco. The liklihood of The Museum of American Railroads located in Dallas moving to Frisco is becoming very remote at best. You might check the source of your story. Jeff Cooney, Lindsay, TX

A story making the rounds recently is that some civic boosters at Frisco, Texas have either purchased or otherwise have arranged to move the railroad equipment from the former "Age Of Steam Museum" at the Fair Park in Dallas for their own rail museum. Supposedly those in charge of the Dallas collection no longer want the equipment, have run out of space or are no longer able to care for it.
