I recently aquired an Atlas GP38 and I need to remove the number(s). Anyone have a sure fire bullet proof way that wont damage the white paint?

There is a video on youtube were guy used rubbing alcohol and qutips and it too off the decals but not the paint. Here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhnJmT4gsjI
In the video he said he used some sort of solvent, but I guess that alcohol would work.

I use Microscale Microset and or Microsol and a Qtip. I let the Micro Solvet/sol pool on the spot I want to remove and then use the Qtip to rub it off. This method works great.

When in a pinch, I've taken a small amount of damp Ajax on the broad, flat end of a toothpick and gently rubbed until the lettering/numbers come off. Bob's technique sounds potentially safer, but I've not been disappointed with the results thus far.

    Best Regards,
