OK, why not? Whenever I get a PM, I get the notification box on the front page. If I click on "Read the Message" it won't let me. So I go to the Message column on the left and click on it, read the message, answer or whatever. When I come back to the front page, the box is still there and I have to exit from the box to get rid of it. Been doing this for a long time, but never felt the need to gripe, but maybe I'm doing something wrong?

    Don,

I will look into this tonight at home. Thanks for the question. If anyone else has input on this problem (or can help) feel free...

Don, Mike's question and statement should answer your question since the vBulletin software wants to open the Private Message dialog in a separate window.

I have sent several members PM's lately and I dont think they have gotten them, some as much as 3-4 weeks ago. I dont want people to think that I am not appreciative or snubbing them.

When there is a PM sent to me I get a separate notification in my regular Yahoo e-mail in addition to notice through the web site here. Maybe it depends upon your server.

If the messages are in your outbox they were sent. Try sending me a message. The system is working so I don't think there are any problems.

Often times, these e-mail notifications go to a spam folder, depending on the ISP. The e-mail messages are sent by an automated system, which can be detected by the ISP, and that may cause the messages to go to a spam folder.

Likewise, whether or not you receive e-mail notifications, or whether private messages cause a pop-up to appear, can all be controlled in your profile settings.
