After reading a reply to a thread by Karl, I recognized a "disaster" in the making just out of our sight; those old slides made be 'hidden" away where we think they are safe, but the old film degrades over time and the quality of the images is lost. A slide scanner can be found for about $80 and will preserve the slides "as is" but also some magic can be worked to improve the images using software like Photoshop. If you don't have a scanner and can't afford one, ask around. The value of the images on those slides is just too valuable to those who come after us.
