From Richard Crabtree on the Frisco Rails Across Missouri Facebook group. Here we are at the Frisco depot in Phillipsburg, Missouri. The community is 193 miles from St Louis, Mo. The Atlantic and Pacific (A&P) Railroad, Southwest Branch, later Frisco, came through the area in 1870. A post office called Phillipsburg has been in operation since 1871. The community was named after Rufus Phillips, a local merchant.
