The final two-hour installment of this two-part, thought-provoking show aired in St. Louis at 7 PM May 29. It is an analysis and discussion of how six Western ideas became dominant in the world and led to great prosperity for western countries.

The last of the six, a strong work ethic is one of them. A German philosopher, Max Weber, promoted this idea in 1904 after a visit to the Worlds Fair in St. Louis followed by an observation trip into the country.

Weber was said to have traveled through Cuba, Bourbon and "Snt Jaymes" in his quest to understand American motivation to produce the excellent goods shown at the Fair. We know the railroad Weber used!

The ten to fifteen minute segment of the show contained footage from the 1904 Fair plus a quick shot of the Bourbon, MO water tower. In addition, there were further scenes of churches and towns along the line with still shots of the single-track railroad connecting them. After a short stop for commentary in St. James, the segment ended with a visit to Springfield for more commentary and an interview.
