    Hi all,
A friend who is with the Big Bend Club sent me this, and I thought to post it here. A bit much for me now, but sounds like a " Great Locomotive Chase " might be the ticket!:)
    Regards,
    Dan

    Hi to all y'all!

I'm new to this list, and haven't had a chance to go back
in the archives to check if this sort of thing gets posted
to this list or not, but I thought I'd throw this out there
    for you guys.

High Iron Travel is offering a private car ride on
rare mileage trip down the former
St. Louis - San Francisco (Frisco) route from
St. Louis to Memphis on May 25. This line hasn't seen
    regular passenger service since 1965.
It will depart from the Amtrak depot in St. Louis,
continental breakfast included. Then you ride
a former Santa Fe "Great Dome" down to Sikeston
Missouri for lunch. (not for sure where, but I'm
assuming Lamberts for some 'throwed rolls'...
in any case, the lunch will be included in the fare.)
From there, it's on to Memphis where a charter bus
will meet the train for the return trip to St. Louis.
(the bus will stop somewhere along
the way for dinner on your own)

Round trip (dome car one way, bus return) is $349
and is limited to 50 people. Spaces are quickly selling
so don't wait too long to get tickets for this adventure!

OR if this list doesn't allow entire email addresses
    to be shown, it's:

    the1john "at" yahoo "dot" com
just replace the "at" with @
    and "dot" with a .

Here's High Iron's web site in case you want to do the
entire "rare mileage" journey with them instead of just
    a day trip.
