  1. While searching the web, looking for railway passenger car information, I found this site. I am always looking for information on various passneger cars, heavyweight and streamlined in the USA and Canada. I keep a database with over 40,000 listings, a list which will probably never be completed as with the web, more information keeps appearing.

The nearest affiliation with Frisco passenger cars, was with the 14-4 SS Sheathed sleeping cars, which came to CNR in the 1965/66. The stainless steel fluting was removed, electro mechanical AC was installed, and the cars renamed in the "Falls" series, numbered # 2095 - 2106. I did get to ride in one of the cars, after it had been converted to a Daynighter. CNR and VIA converted about 25 sleeping cars into these long distance deluxe overnight coaches, which sat 52 in wide reclining leg rest seats, and offered more space than the standard overnight coach.

Look for ward to seeing the information this site has to offer.
