Well, my grandfather was the assistant to the chief mechaical officer in Springfiled until he retired. My dad worked in Thayer, MO as the Round House Foreman until he retired. My brother retired as a brakeman. I worked in the car shop in Springfield for three summers while in college. Many other relatives worked for the Frisco as well at various times. I miss the old Frisco. It was a part of my memories as a kid.
