    Nice modeling work on the Newburg East side, BUT... I live on the Newburg East end and you started your 3 story bluff (that is what it is called by the locals) a bit too soon. If you look at an old map of Newburg you will see what is called "Short Street". It was a small strip of gravel road just across from the stock yards. There were 4 or 5 houses on the strip. One of them was the home place of Hermann Macormic, a long time Frisco employee.

    There's always a BUT in life.....I've foreshortened most of the town to fit into a 23' long space. Call it modeler's license I guess but you gotta make do with the space you have.

    Looks mighty fine, Don. Nice to see a yard filled with steam-era rolling stock.

    I'm glad to see others out there using the manual turnout controls.

    For my money, it's a lot simpler and cost-effective, and more closely replicates the way the brakemen had to do it c. 1943.
