    Hey All,

Once in awhile... okay, frequently, random thoughts zing into my head.

Reading the threads talking about paint reminded me of a "lesson learned" sometime back.

Many of the model paints, as opposed to auto or outdoor paint, do not have u/v block in the paint, which can cause the model to fade quickly and severely if exposed to sunlight, even if indirectly say, near a window.

    fwiw...

Also when exposed to flourescent lights for long periods since they emit some level of UV (that's a scary thought!)

And perhaps the new flourescent light bulbs that we MUST buy now, thanks to our absurd government. Sheesh.

'Course the real railroads' paint jobs also faded in the sun and weather...

How true and we try to model that with weathering however it's a lot easier to repaint the prototype than a model:eek:

Masking an N scale model is something my big fat fingers just won't do:eek:

    Have a great day
