Got there about 10:45AM. I guess y'all had dispersed by then? Maybe we need T-shirts or Ball Caps?

I was there Saturday morning- went that way with Ray Hamm. We both left after 11:30 that morning to see what we could see at the Oklahoma RR Museum as well as the SWLC yard.

I DID hit the booth selling Frisco memorabilia (it was across from the Ntrak layout), and scored some goodies, as well as a copy of Frisco Southwest. Had I a little more coin, I woulda picked up one of the N scale RS1s that Brad's Trains was selling.

Speaking of diesels, I stopped at the Athearn booth and got a look at the pre-production sample of the Genesis GP15-1. Even though that model had the Farr air filters, I was assured that a Frisco-painted model will come out at least the second run.

At the Atlas booth, I spoke with Paul Graf, and he told me that nobody has asked him about doing a Frisco N scale GP7 (contrary to reports I've heard here and elsewhere). I did suggest that if they did so, the as-delivered 1950-era paint scheme would look really nice.

All in all, I left with another Frisco coffee mug, a book of Frisco switch lists, a couple of Frisco number 2 pencils, the aforementioned book, and a few Microtrains N scale freight cars. The book itself took the biggest bite (40 bucks), but was cheaper than what was found at another vendor, so I can't complain.

Now, if I can find a copy of Don Banwart's Rails, Rivaly and Romance......

BTW, Ed Birch Sr. was selling CDs with beaucoup Frisco photos (3 different ones that I could see) at the Whistle Stop booth. I'll have to see about getting one or three next month, if he still has 'em.

There are several copies of this book available on Amazon.com in the $64 range.

I have had the privilege of reading that book. Has some great info and lots and lots of pictures. But I personally do not own it, I borrowed it from a friend.
