The car washer at Lindenwood(?), late 40's. Note the E-7 set in the background. I suspect that this was taken by a Frisco photographer.
Same car washer in action. Back channel conversation with Don Wirth indicates that the location is not Lindenwood, but more likely, Tulsa.
Karl, Notice the oil wells in the background. I believe that establishes the setting in Oklahoma City rather than Tulsa, since they were in the vicinity of the yard. In addition, several passenger trains terminated there and would receive washing, such as the Meteor. Thank you. Ken McElreath

I remember well the car washer in the Oklahoma City Easy Yard. The FM switcher would turn the equipment of the Meteor on the Frisco-Rock Island wye and then take it to the yard and wash it. They were always extremely careful to NOT wash the non-Frisco car that carried Railway Express from New York City, usually a PRR box or Railway Express refrigerator. Have a lot of memories of the Frisco passenger operations down here in OKC if someone could point me as to where to post them.
Ron, I will point you to The Real Frisco>Operations>Passenger. Someone may correct me if I am wrong. Hope this helps. Thanks
