Intermountain SD38-2 Intermountain Railway Company has announced four road numbers of their new SD38-2 in Frisco livery, which will account for the entire Frisco fleet of the locomotive. The item/road numbers are 693307-01/296, 693307-02/297, 693307-03/298, 693307-04/299. The SD38-2s were manufactured from 1972 to 1979. Intermountain states that the SD38-2 was typically used in yard service where low speeds and good tractive effort was required. Almost all are still in service today with many being refitted as remote control yard locomotives. The models were announced on March 17 and reservations are due by April 30.
