From 1999-2003 I lived in Aberdeen Maryland and worked for CSX on the old Baltimore and Ohio original trackage.

While I was out there I found out about the FMIG, I contacted the fellas from the group and one night I was invited to drive to his home and then road with him to the club layout. There wasn't a lot of FRISCO on the club layout that I recall, but, it was a wonderful experience. It has been so long that midlife Alzheimers has set in and I cannot remember his name for the life of me. And I feel bad for not really thanking him for inviting me to the club and taking me there, I wished I woulda had and spent more time and got involved in that club, but I got busy working, my family grew larger and my wife was one of those that ALWAYS WANTED ME HOME!.

If that man is a member of this group and remembers me, WILL BOWEN is my real name, I would like to say hello. So many on this forum and in the hobby of model Railroading have touched my life. the knowledge you all have shared and I have the opportunity to apply to my home layout I will always appreciate and always be thankful for.

You're not thinking of Doug Hughes are you? He's the FOUNDER of the FMIG and lived in Maryland!

    Howdy,

I bet it was Doug; I visited him there, too. He now lives in Michigan. His username is w3hodoug.

    Best,

I Think it might just be Doug. I met him shortly after a vandal threw a cinder block at my train and it hit me in the face. I never got the opportunity to contact or visit him or the club again after the one time, but the experience was a pleasant one.
