I wanted to tell everyone hello and to say I appreciate the Frisco web site ! I'm 62, retired. During my teenage years I spent summers in Mexia, AL. My aunt, Neta Bouler, was an agent at the depot there. It is about 4 miles south of Monroeville, AL. My cousins and I used to do chores around the depot for her. We enjoyed the freight trains coming by - we would ride in the caboose, handoff orders, etc. I can remember lay in bed, late at night and hear the local train come through. Back then, we didn't have no AC; we slept with the windows open. I was borned and raised in New Orleans, but Dad was from there and part of his family still lives there. What great memories I have of those summers ! Will close for now, don't want to bore anyone.
