I have a couple of Athearn BB/ older round house that have problems with the coupler pocket screws not staying in. Also I have 1 were the truck screws wont stay in.
The best thing to do Ethan is to use a model railroader's tap and die set to re-tap the screw hole and use the next size larger screw to attach the coupler or the trucks. George
