The file type is a Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet). If you do not have Microsoft Office installed on your computer, all is not lost. You can download a package of software free that will do most everything Microsoft Office will do.

    1) Go to www.openoffice.org

    2) Click on I want to download OpenOffice.org

    3) Click on Download Now.

If a pop-up bar apprears at the top of the page saying (Internet Eplorer has blocked this site from downloading files to your computer), then Click on the bar and Click Download File)

    4) Click the Save button on the File Download - Security Warning dialog box that pops up.

    5) Using the pull-down menu and icons to the left in the Save As dialog box, navigate to the place on your computer you want the install file to download (I recommend the Desktop).

    6) After the download is complete, close the openoffice.org website.

    7) Go to your desktop and Double-Click the OOo_3.3.0_Win_x86_install-wJRE_en-US.exe icon to install the software.

    8) On the Open File - Security Warning dialog box that pops up, Click the Run button.

    9) Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

After the software is installed, you will be able to open Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), and Powerpoint (.ppt) files on your computer.
