I'm here in Kansas City. I model the Colorado, Kansas, & Western, a somewhat freelanced line in KS & CO. It assumes that the old Leavenworth, Kansas & Western RR continued west from Leavenworth, KS and reached Pueblo. I model the line in the early 90's where it has managed to survive by hauling grain, bridge traffic, and a little coal. The Frisco comes into play this way: I am assuming that the CK&W gained control of the Ellsworth to Wichita line in the 70's. This gave the road a line from Hays to Wichita. It further comes into play down the road when I assume that in the late 80's the road was able to secure the line from Wichita to Carthage, giving it great access to the KCS main to the south and allowing grain and some coal to bypass Kansas City's congestion. So that's my interest in the Frisco. Look forward to gaining as much knowledge as possible from you all! Matt
