I live near Dexter, Kansas, and grew up west of Arkansas City. I am retired and do a lot of history-seeking. I am a board member of the Cowley County Historical Society. Of course, I am most familiar with the Beaumont Subdivision, having watched the Frisco trains come through Ark City in the 1950s through the 1970s.
Hi Gary, Welcome to the forum. I have never been to Dexter, but was in the aircraft industry back in the late 1990s and 2000 and visited Independence, KS some. Kansas is one of my favorite states. There are some great people there.
