I found this forum while doing research into the Arkansas & Ozarks railway, which I plan to recreate in the popular simulator Train Sim World.

If anyone has reference material including diagrams, photos, maps, etc. for the stretch between Harrison, AR and Seligman, MO, please get in touch!

    Hello farLander.

    Welcome.

Many of us here have an appreciation for all the iterations of the North Arkansas.

This includes the Eureka Springs Rwy, St, Louis & North Arkansas, Missouri & North Arkansas, Missouri & Arkansas, and finally, the Arkansas & Ozarks.

Seeing as you live in Harrison, have you been to the Boone County Museum?

They have a huge amount of North Arkansas information. I suggest starting there.

    Best of luck.

    Andre

    Welcome to Frisco.org.

Your project in Train Sim World falls under the topic called "Virtual (V) scale" in the "Modeling the Frisco" sub-forum on this group.

You can look in there for news about other people's projects.

Of course there is a lot of information in the "Historical" section as well.

It is very well organized so topics and answers to questions will be easy to find.

You probably already have it, but there is James Fair's excellent book, The North Arkansas Line.

I suspect you may already have it but from the right hand side of the "pond" I found this book to be very useful.

    David,

Just purchased it last night on eBay.

It has been on my radar, but I have not had to opportunity to pick it up until now.

Really looking forward to reading this one.

    Rob,

The local Boone County Heritage Museum actually sells copies of this one.

I remember seeing it online, but I will be sure to pick it up the next time I am there in person.

Thank you both for these recommendations.

They will be of great help in better understanding the line and its history.

    Lon
