In 1923 a "great flood" did major damage in Calais, Maine and St. Stephen, New Brunswick when a snow melt combined with rain flooded the St. Croix River.

In the first photo the left side of the picture is St. Stephen, New Brunswick Canada. The right side is in Calais, Maine.

I am less than one mile from this location as I type and drive by the exact location every day.

I have larger size photos if anyone would like them.
