    Here we see Frisco GP40-2 SLSF 759 and GP38-2 SLSF 663 on a continuous welded rail (CWR) or ribbon rail train May 1979 at Thayer, Missouri.

    Edit 2/25/2024: Train is northbound on the Willow Springs Subdivision. It is passing under the Business Route U.S. Highway 63 / Missouri Highway 19 overpass on the west side of the community and west of the Thayer depot. View looking east northeast.

    Good contrast in the look between brand new, and well weathered.

    GP40-2 SLSF 759 looks sharp being that it had just been delivered that month, while GP38-2 SLSF 663 could use a little love being that it was 8 years old at this point.

    Amazing how fast the look can fade.
