I was passing through Frisco City , AL yesterday and caught a glimpse of the caboose there. Looks pretty bad and in desperate need of rescue!!!
Lamar is a similar story. We have a caboose in our park and it was BN and for a while you could go in. but a few years ago they closed it off. Then less than 2 years ago they replaced the windows and painted it. The cupola windows on the sides are one big window with steel bars on them. They painted it cherry red and slapped a Frisco Lines Coonskin on it. I saw it Wednesday and I wasn't happy the way they repainted. O well, I have no clue who makes the decisions on that caboose.
I'm not sure but this one looks to be in original condition. I was driving and couldn't stop but I plan on going up to take a better look. It's not fenced off and it doesn't look like a rolling jail cell
