This book was originally published as a paperback. Lloyd's hardcover Frisco book was "Steam Locomotives Of The Frisco Line." Several copies of that book are on "Alibris" internet book sellers. Also on Alibris are several (Rather expensive) copies of Louis Marre's "Frisco Diesel Power."

As Tom and Keith have pointed out, Lloyd Stagner authored 2 books on Frisco steam.

The first book, "Steam Locomotives of the Frisco Line", 1976, has been issued in both hard and soft cover. His second book, "Frisco Steam Finale", 1995, was soft cover only. His second book emphasized the last years of steam operations and focused on the post WW II period from 1946-1952.

Lloyd authored similar first and second "finale" books on several other Midwestern railroads. He was a fine gentleman and well versed in railroad history and equipment.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

FYI: On the website of the internet book seller "Abe Books," there are several reasonably priced copies, both hard and soft cover, of Lloyd Stagner's "Steam Locomotives Of The Frisco Line." Also copies of Louis Marre's "Frisco In Color" and "Frisco Diesel Power." There's also a copy of Joe Collias' "Search For Steam." All these books were available at 2:00 AM CST, 1-27-10.
