Today I decided to go downtown and get some pictures of the old right of way that ran through downtown Poplar Bluff, MO. The photographs are of where the tracks crossed Vine Street. The first photograph is looking north towards the “the tunnel” as my grandpa calls it. The second is looking south towards the depot. If you look at the bottom of the second image you will notice the tracks across the street are still there. Another fun note is the all the buildings you see were there before the railroad was there. So you can almost imagine a Frisco Alco RS-1 rumbling through those narrow alleyways.
