As you can see, we still need moderators for Central Division, Passenger Cars, Maintenance of Way, Memorabilia, Trains, Freight Trains, Passenger Trains, MOW Trains, and Other. Please send me a PM if you are interested.

Reordering of subforums (1-10-2011). We've rearranged some of the subforums, e.g., Passenger Cars, to improve access and make the structure of the forum more consistent.

New FRISCo_Org website home page. Sometime this month, we'll change the URL of www.frisco.org to the new Saint Louis and San Francisco Railroad Historical and Modeling Society. Additionally, we'll have a few historical fact pages and a discussion of our group as it is today. There will be links on the page to the Library subforums for Historical and Modeling.

    Previous Note as off 11-29-2010:
We'll begin implementing the planned changes during the month of December, a little bit at a time. Announcements will be made in advance of incremental changes informing members of new features and functions. The last change will be in the forum appearance and themes. Themes will be user selectable with available themes for steam (black), passenger (red and gold), and old school (All Aboard). When we get time, we'll add diesel (Red and white), too.

We'll also be adding moderators and subject matter experts to the Frisco Library and begin online training for them. We've received notes from folks interested in moderating a topic area. If you are interested, please send me a PM with the area you want to moderate.

One new feature, available today in personal profiles, is a distinctive name for past Frisco employees. We hope this takes us a bit further into being thought of as a historical and modeling site.

The official name of the site will be "The Saint Louis and San Francisco Railway Historical and Modeling Society (FRISCo_Org)". We'll begin advertisements in magazines next year, with events culminating at the Annual Frisco Convention in Springfield.

FRISCo_Org is my favorite place to be on the web, and it is only because of the members and their support for each other. Thank you Frisco folk!

    Best regards,
    mike
