What were the first colors the Frisco high nose U25Bs painted, red/white or black/yellow?

Red and white: they were GE Demonstrator locomotives; 804-807 were ex-GE Demonstrators #753-756.

    812 and 813 were ex-GE Demonstrators #51 and 54, 814 and 815 were ex-GE Demonstrators #52 and 53.

Sorry to take the wind out of your sails Tim, but I have a particular interest in Frisco locomotives that were demonstrators, the first of a manufacturer's run, or affected the Frisco like the EMD GP35 demonstrators.

I like this scheme better. These went to the UP. U25B.jpg

Thought I remembered seeing one at Lindenwood in kind of a maroon/white with XR on it. But then I don't know one of the boxes from another.

I'm with you Don, once they get into red and white (Except GP-7) they all look alike! I thought the hi-nose U25s were cool though...

This would be your XR unit: a U30B:
