Anyone think there is a chance that any of the three coach buffet lounge cars would ever have been used on a rare
occasion as a replacement for the heavyweight cafe from Monet to Wichita? Or maybe a 14-4 as a rare occasional replacement for the Joplin heavyweight Pullman?

    thanks,
    pete

At one time a "meal" car was carried on tr. 303-304 (Note: At times the train was numbered 309-310), but it was one of the heavyweight 1600 buffet or "snack" cars. In all the timetables in my collection (ca. 1946-1958) the only Joplin sleepers were heavyweights. 12-1's and if I remember 12-2's for a short period. I can look up the exact years if it will help (My timetables are stored away from my PC).
