Frisco Cimarron River

  1. For those who don't subscribe to "Classic Trains", there is a nice article in the new, Summer 2008, issue about the #1466 Cimarron River. It is noted as likely being "the highest-mileage, least-modified lightweight Pullman still rolling".

    have made a few trips on it back in the 1990 s................great car.....rode it on st louis...kc, mo....chicago ill triangle trip.....my first exposure to high speed ( 90mph ) on the santa fe marceline sub...........what a ride.............great car........great railroad............now when i ride the amtrak cheif i take my gps and verify speeds of 90 or even a mile and hour or 3 faster......bob zucco

    It was a blessing to have along on a couple of 1522 trips. Spent the night on it in Stevens Point, WI when we were up there.
    Tony was a lifesaver.
