    Hi, my name is Diane

I was told that my grandfather Willie Smitticke worked for the Frisco Railroad in the early 1900's.

He was tracker fixer and later a Cinder worker, I am looking for any information that will help me in my familytree search.

He lived in Tulsa, OK and later bought a family.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

    Diane

Try here: http://thelibrary.org/lochist/frisco/employee_cards/cards.cfm This is from the Springfield-Greene County Library Frisco website's cache of old employee cards. The website also has photos, employee magazines and related items. I'm not sure if actual employee records actually exist any more. Since the federal government administrates railroad employees' retirements, there may be records there??

    Name:Willie SmittickSSN:445-50-4681Last Residence:74066 Sapulpa, Creek, Oklahoma, United States of AmericaBorn:17 Oct 1872Died:15 Sep 1966State (Year) SSN issued:Oklahoma (1965)

The Frisco Employee Cards commence about 1936 (when Social Security and RR Retirement wbecame mandatory) Should Willie have worked prior to 1936 (or thereabouts) it is doubtful if he has an employee card listed? FYI Sapulpa was an important junction on the Frisco RR during this period and he coul have worked toward OK City, toward Dallas/FW or toward Tulsa or possibly all three?
    Hope this helps.
