BNSF Cuba Sub had an eastbound that seemed to have nearly every kind of empty car in its consist. The usual pair of GE road units pulled it. A couple empty gondolas and a long string of empty coil steel cars without tops followed the locomotives. There were a few empty flat cars. Then there was a train of empty ribbon rail cars. There were some other merchandise cars, including a half dozen or so "3257-HOT" asphalt cars. The big surprise was at the end; BN caboose 12560 brought up the rear. It was unoccupied. This was 7 PM on September 5, 2010! Could this extended-vision caboose have been an ex-Frisco car?
According to Robert Del Grosso's Burlington Northern Railroad Cabooses,1970-1996, 12560 was originally Colorado and Southern 10642. It was rebuilt 10/01/1990. Paul
