I got a physical address this week for the land we bought in January. When we move there, I want to post the street number in a Frisco font or something close to it. My original idea was to get some white or gold house numbers in something close to an Erie Roman font with a black background, and nail them onto a cook skin pattern cut out of a board, painted black, and nailed to a homemade railroad crossing post. (I'm also going to build something around a black mailbox to model the mailbox as the boiler of a locomotive before attaching it all to the railroad crossing/mailbox post.) However, the number that the 9-1-1 office assigned to the land belonged to a GP38-2. Has anyone ever seen house numbers manufactured in anything close to the Eurida font? I could paint my coon skin red/orange and get a local sign shop to make me the three white reflective vinyl numbers in Eurida to stick on the coon skin. However, I really prefer the look of the white or gold Erie Roman numbers on black the best... especially so close to the locomotive themed mailbox. Let me know how blasphemous you think it would be to put a GP38-2 number in white or gold on a black coon skin.

Well, it is YOUR house, so invoke Rule #1.
    Then show us pictures!

Something told me the answer would be along those lines. I'm going to try to find some house numbers in an Erie Roman font, or something "railroadish," perhaps something reflective if possible, in gold or white with a black background. I was hoping the 9-1-1 commission would assign me a house number that was also a SLSF steam locomotive number, but not so. Oh well, I'm probably the only one that will ever see it that will know the difference unless I say something.

Thanks! I'm going to print that and take it with me when I go shopping.
