I have a friend who asked me for help in finding out when the Swedeborg Missouri Depot was closed. Anybody out there care to take a stab in the dark? Brad

I do not have any hard evidence, but a good guess to closings on that line would have been around the time when CTC was installed. Strictly guessing. Tom
From Richard Crabtree on the Frisco Rails Across Missouri Facebook group. Here we are at the Frisco depot in Swedeborg, Missouri. The village of Swedeborg was named in 1883 by Swedish immigrants that bought the land from the railroad company. Frisco built the depot in 1881. Swedeborg was a fuel stop for locomotives and was known prior to 1883 as "Woodend", for the piles of cordwood locals stacked along the railroad right-of-way.
