This is a bridge inventory of all bridges on the Clinton Sub.

Sheets are in milepost order from Kansas City to Springfield. Latest date I could find on the sheets is 1953. Thought they may be helpful to our Clinton Sub modelers and to dricketts our Vscale modeler who is modeling Clinton to Bolivar.

I had these copies made by the Frisco RR Museum nearly two decades ago, so I apologize for the poor quality and that some of the sheets are cut off at the bottom.

Thanks Dale. I can defiantly put this data to good use.

Looking at the span across the Osage River it seems 3 different types of bridges were used. Does anyone know what the initials stood for?

    I'll give it a try.

D.P.G. - deck plate girder (girder bridge with ties/rail on top of girder)
    T.P.C.T. - through Pratt C? truss (I can't remember what the C stands for)
pile trestle - standard 5 pile wooden trestle

I posted photos of this bridge at http://www.frisco.org/vb/showthread.php?1585-Osage-River-Bridge-at-Osceola-MO&highlight=osceola

My memories of the bridge were that the deck girder bridge crossed over the street and riverbank with very low clearance over the street on the east (timetable south) bank of the river. The through truss bridges pretty much spanned the river from one riverbank to the other with cut stone piers for support. Then there was a long wood trestle approach on the west side of the river.

    Thanks for the correction Karl.

Leaves me batting .667. At least I got the truss part correct!
